On Saturday, 11th November, 40 intrepid souls scaled new heights, literally, to raise money for the Charity. Some abseiled 90 feet down Fairhead…THE MAJORITY ABSEILED DOWN 200 ft…all meticulously organised by Ballymoney man, Hubert Taylor and his wife, Linda, who wanted to raise funds for a Northern Ireland Children’s Charity …and, boy, are we glad they chose ours!
They were supported by a band of more than willing volunteers, with the result that an incredible £26,013 was raised…yes, OVER £26,000!
Looking back through our records, we believe this to be the 3rd largest amount ever raised in any one event, since we began in 2008. But Hubert has no intention of resting on his laurels and plans to do something ‘even bigger and better’ next year. We think he has the record in his sights and, from what we have seen, our money’s on Hubert!
