The NICLT cabaret roadshow rolled in to Coleraine Rugby Football, Cricket and Hockey Club on Sunday 10th May and, boy, did it get the club rocking.
Billed as ‘An afternoon of music, magic and comedy’, the show included 5 superb acts. Our Chairman and MC/ comedian for the day, Colin Barkley, kept the entertainment flowing, starting with father and daughter singing duo Seamus and Lucy McPeake…with Seamus’s rendition of Nessun Dorma getting a spontaneous and much deserved standing ovation. Next came the amazing magician, Rodd Hogg, who left the capacity audience stunned with his array of tricks and banter. After a short break, our Ambassador, leading comedian, Paddy Raff, got the second half under way, before we finished with the incredible voice and energy of the one and only Fiddler Adam.
The feedback from each and every one of the 130 people present was exceptional, as was their generosity when it came to our ballot and auction…and donations!
In all, we raised £6500, which far surpassed our expectation.
